Custom Utensil Artwork Available in Restaurant Equipment World (REW) Showroom

For a limited time only, Restaurant Equipment World (REW) will have custom utensil artwork by Joe Thompson available in our showroom for purchase. Joe is a world class artist from Merritt Island, Florida who uses art to promote recycling awareness.

In his college years, Joe immersed himself in studying Mississipian Indian's midden mounds (or Indian trash piles). The mounds were an accumulation of trash for the over 500 years the Indians inhabited the area. Joe was struck by how small the mounds were and that there was never anything found in just one piece. A broken bowl was cut down and used as a smaller bowl, every part of an animal served as purpose - even the bones. They reused everything, which brought him to realize that for the most part we do not use objects beyond their original purpose.

This is when Joe started implemented used objects to produce his work. The objects in our showroom are sculpted from used kitchen utensils and welded into amazing works of art. Forks, spoons, knives, spatulas, thermometers - for whatever he finds there is always a creative use and a purpose. Joe's artwork has won him many prestigious awards and has landed his artwork in galleries and exhibits all over the state of Florida.

In our showroom we have displayed three fish sculptures - skillfully designed using the very type of utensils we sell to our customers.
